Children’s Services is a program of Contact Hamilton that helps children, youth and their guardians find services for children and youth that:

  1. Have social, emotional, behavioural, psychiatric and/or developmental concerns AND
  2. Are under the age of 18 AND
  3. Live in the City of Hamilton

Anyone can make a referral to Contact Hamilton with the consent of the youth or their guardian.

Contact Hamilton also provides information to anyone about available services and supports for children, youth and their families.

Developmental Services Ontario (DSO) helps adults (aged 16+ years) with developmental disabilities connect to services and supports in their communities. There are nine DSO agencies across Ontario to serve you.

The DSO in the Hamilton-Niagara region is called Developmental Services Ontario Hamilton-Niagara Region (DSO HNR). The DSO HNR is a program of Contact Hamilton.

The DSO HNR serves the following communities:

Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk, Hamilton, Niagara, Six Nations of the Grand River and Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation.
